BoatPro Seminar

All resident boat operators are required to have a PCOC.

BoatPro, published by Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons (CPS) and accredited by Transport Canada, is the qualifying course for the new Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)

Ideal for new or "about-to-be" boat owners, new boat owners, hunters, anglers and cottagers - who use their boat for transportation and pleasure. All boaters who want to have more fun, and less stress on the water.

The best of the Canadian Coast Guard "accredited" study guides available.

This highly acclaimed manual has been used as the template by other organizations in their rush to develop course material to meet the Government Regulations for operator competency. It was one of the first to be accredited by Transport Canada and contains all the information needed to achieve operator competency and a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. A leader in its field, the Boat Pro Manual is a great introduction to the boating safety and navigation information available in the Boating Course. Successful candidates may apply for CPS Associate Membership with its specific benefits.

This course covers "need-to-know" info with fast-paced text, illustrated by humorous cartoons from the pen of Robert Van Nood - well-known artist, and a boater himself.

BoatPro contains a self-test quiz for home study, is available on the Internet, or in an eight-hour instructional format, through the various Squadrons of CPS.
